Joel had a hilarious sense of humor. During our graduation procession, I spotted him with a handful of tiny leaves from a hedge, solemnly tossing them over his head as we proceeded to our bleachers.
Joel was a dear man...gifted with a voice and personality like no other. I admired his talent and his generous spirit...I miss him still and think of him often.
I remember Joel as someone who befriended me as the new girl at BHHS during our Junior year ! He was one of the sweetest, kindest guys that I knew, and I also remember him throwing leaves over his head during graduation ! Fabulous sense of humor 😂I was sooo saddened to hear of his untimely passing !!
I rememberJoel's solo of "O Holy Night" at our holiday concert in '66'. He sang it beautifully. It lasts in my memory because he was the son of Rabbi Pressman. The last time I saw Joel was during the school's seventy-fifth anniversary. He had all the former Madrigals sing during the opening assembly. I was so saddened to hear Joel was fighting a battle with cancer. He had to retire as music director at Beverly. Unfortunately he lost the battle. Rest in peace dear friend. God bless
