Mel passed away in 2016. I've known Mel since the 7th grade. Mel loved the game of basketball and played it for a long time past high school. He was a lawyer and real estate broker but never practiced. Instead he pursued his passion, a life of comedy writing, stand up comedy and acting. The comedy community recently paid tribute to him. I will miss him.
